Ice Castles and Jelly Beans No. 2 - Newfoundland Icons

Handwoven tapestry designed and woven by textile artist, Mary Anne Donovan. The majestic icebergs and colourful row houses, both icons of Newfoundland, are captured in fibre, with rolling fog above and the crashing waves below. 

Materials: cotton warp with weft of locally produced and hand dyed silk, linen, mohair, merino, alpaca, blue faced Leicester slubby mix, wool roving and more, mounted on a locally crafted ash tapestry holder.
