Summer Love - Bachmans Beach (Lunenburg, Nova Scotia)

Handwoven tapestry designed and woven by fibre artist, Mary Anne Donovan in her Lunenburg, Nova Scotia studio. 

Inspired by summer days and nights spent at Bachmans Beach. Strolling through the path between the wild roses and tall grasses before stepping on the beach is cause for pause. 

Materials: cotton warp with weft of locally hand dyed merino wool, silk, linen, mohair, as well as super fine alpaca, Scandinavian wool, Icelandic wool, and more, mounted on beach driftwood collected along the shores of Nova Scotia.

Dimensions: woven width of 9.5” and length of 25”. Total dimensions including driftwood 13.5” wide and 28” long.
