The Beckoning

Handwoven tapestry designed and woven by textile artist, Mary Anne Donovan. Inspired by the Peggy’s Cove lighthouse in Nova Scotia, where the crashing waves and beacon home are a stark reminder or risk and resilience on the east coast. 

Materials: cotton warp with weft of locally produced and hand dyed silk, linen, mohair, merino, alpaca, blue faced Leicester slubby mix, wool roving and more, mounted on a locally crafted ash tapestry holder.
