Thrashing Surf - Middle Cove Beach (Newfoundland)

Handwoven tapestry designed and woven by fibre artist, Mary Anne Donovan in her Lunenburg, Nova Scotia studio. 

Thunderous waves crashing the shores of Middle Cove Beach in Newfoundland will draw you in but dare not be tempted. 

Materials: cotton warp with weft of locally hand dyed merino wool, silk, linen, mohair, as well as super fine alpaca, Scandinavian wool, Icelandic wool, wool roving and more, mounted on beach driftwood collected along the shores of Nova Scotia.

Dimensions: woven width of 9.5” and length of 25”.  Total dimensions including driftwood 17” wide and 28” long.
