Tide Wanderings

Handwoven tapestry by Lunenburg based textile artist, Mary Anne Donovan. The morning calm at low tide near the Gaff Point trailhead on Hirtle’s Beach.

Materials: cotton warp with weft of locally hand dyed yarns of linen, silk, merino, alpaca, blue faced Leicester slubby mix, mohair boucle, Atlantic Canadian yarn, and wool roving. Mounted on cherry wood tapestry holder.
