Large scale tapestry handwoven with artisan natural fibres by Lunenburg based textile artist, Mary Anne Donovan. A dramatic, boldly coloured Atlantic Canadian artwork that tells the story of wild Newfoundland coastlines, mossy hills, vibrant skies and the deep, rhythmic pulse of nature with each hand passed thread. 

This landscape tapestry is born from the elements—wind over water, lichen on stone, wool warmed by the sun. Whether it's the texture of handwoven wool or the hue of plant-dyed fibers, this piece carries the breath of the landscape.

Materials: cotton warp with weft of locally produced and hand dyed silk, linen, mohair, merino, alpaca, cashmere, yak, blue faced Leicester slubby, wool roving and more, mounted on a locally crafted walnut holder.

Dimensions: 76 inches wide (including the tapestry holder width) and 58 inches long.

~ A weaving comb is provided with the purchase of the tapestry to smooth out the fringe upon opening as well as wall screws and anchors for easy installation.
